Duck, Duck......Wedding Cake?

The Ducks on their Wedding cake were cute but no more so than the couple who renewed their vows here on October 16th in front of close Friends and family.

It did not take me long to understand why Mary and Robert had so many people who loved them. They exude fun, caring and kindness to all.

It was a beautiful Autumn day for a wedding, no rain fell only acorns. Mary wore a gorgeous ruched Ivory satin dress for the occasion along with lavender roses.

Mary and Robert treated their guest and even us to a fabulous dinner at Opus 9! What class!

Ahhh... The Sweet Sound of "I Do"

What a pleasure it was to help these two wonderful people to put together their wedding!

Susan and Chris Lyon were married here at the Colonial Gardens Bed and Breakfast last evening in the Rose Garden. Eunice Fenwick officiated the Christian ceremony while Canon in D played softly in the background.

The two shed a few tears during the romantic elopement ceremony knowing Susan would soon be on her way to Afghanistan for a tour of duty as an Army Major. We wish Susan and Chris the all the best, we will keep them both in our hearts and prayers from one service family to the other.

Susan and Chris dined at Opus 9 Steakhouse after the ceremony and returned to the B&B to a lovely cake and bottle of Champagne.

The Sun Shone For Sarah and Steve's Wedding

Even though it had rained for what seemed a full week prior to the day of Sarah and Steve's wedding, we were all very happy that it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days Williamsburg Virginia had seen in many months.

Sarah and Steve along with 11 of their family and Friends drove down from Ohio to be together for this most precious of events. Needless to say they had a great time. They dined at the Green leaf Cafe, a local college dive tavern with over 200 beers and the best food in any bar in Williamsburg bar none! No Pun intended here.

The Wedding took place in the rose garden and the reception, featuring gourmet pizza for the Jamestown Pie Company, took place on the lawn with tables lit with candles into the evening.
